Les Hoffman

Les Hoffman has been turning wood on a lathe since 2006. Les’s education includes the Ellsworth school, 3 one-week sessions at Arrowmont in Gatlinburg, TN., dozens of seminars at local and national symposiums and the monthly demonstrations at the Long Island Woodturners Association. Les has also given at least one demonstration each year. His pieces have been exhibited in many local libraries and at each symposium that he has attended. Some of his recent pieces have utilized multi-colored birch laminates and he has been using carving jigs to enhance platters, bowls, boxes and wig stands. Les decorates these pieces by burning, paints and stains.
