An Exhibition & Competition for Long Island Students Grades K - 12
The Young Illustrators Challenge was developed 13 years ago to inspire the talented young artists of Long Island. Every year students from all over the island submit work to be judged by our incredible panel of jurors. Art in education is to be celebrated and we are so pleased to see so many L.I. students & teachers celebrating it too!
The YIC is a Long Island wide illustration competition for students in grades K - 12. Students who enter must create work inspired by the 2024 theme, Magic! A panel of jurors made up of professional artists, illustrators and/or curators will award students 1st, 2nd, 3rd or honorable mention in grade categories; K-2, 3-5, 6-8 & 9-12. Sixteen total awards will be given the day of our awards reception.
ALL ARTWORK ENTERED MUST BE DELIVERED TO GALLERY NORTH NO LATER THEN MAY 12TH, 5 PM.
ALL REGISTRANTS MUST FILL OUT THE BELOW REGISTRATION FROM.
A $10 REGISTRATION FEE IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE. **Financial Assistance available, just reach out to education@gallerynorth.org
We will be gathering for an award reception on the Gallery North campus, May 18th. Artwork will be on display for one day in The Studio.
