Reboli 100 Fund Exhibit

July 11 and July 12, 2008

Gallery North is excited to present a special two day exhibit of the work of Joseph Reboli during the 4th Annual Wet paint Festival.  This year's exhibit, curated by Lois Reboli, is the largest exhibit of his work since his death.  One of the paintings on exhibit will be a large 1985 work titled Bellport Gate that Gallery North is acquiring to use as its icon for the proposed Reboli Center.

During the Wet Paint Festival we are launching a fundraising effort to acquire this work.  The Reboli 100 Fund exhibit showcases why Reboli was so important to the artistic history of our area.  The exhibit will give those who knew and loved Joe's paintings another chance to see why he was, as Claire Nicholas wrote, ". . . the ultimate local painter, as was William Sydney Mount, with a wide following of local collectors."
