Explore the exciting tactile qualities of developing line and tone on copper plates. This workshop will focus on creating imagery using a variety of drypoint tools including; etching needles, engraving burins, roulettes, mezzotint rockers, scrapers, and burnishers. Students will develop intaglio plates and print them on an etching press. There will be no acids or harsh chemicals used. Students will be printing with water-based as well as oil-based inks on quality printmaking papers.
