Learn to make paper!
Handmade paper, enjoyed for its unique texture and organic qualities, may be used in the creation of other art works. In this workshop, participants will learn the basic process of western papermaking, and create a number of sheets that can be used with a variety of media. Abaca and cotton fiber will be used to create paper suitable for various printmaking techniques, as well as drawing and water-based painting. Students interested in adding texture and color color may bring in their own additives including fibers, dried plant materials, to incorporate into the paper pulp.
