Enjoy a evening out with friends while learning to make PAPER!
This exciting evening workshop will introduce you to the art of making paper. Handmade paper , enjoyed for its unique texture and organic qualities, may be used in the creation of other art works. In this workshop, participants will learn the basic process of western paper making, and create a number of sheets that can be used with a variety of media. Abaca and cotton fiber will be used to create paper suitable for various printmaking techniques, as well as drawing and water-based painting. Students interested in adding texture and color color may bring in their own additives including fibers, dried plant materials, to incorporate into the paper pulp.
This fun and carefree technique will excite your creative side. You will leave with a beautiful stack of paper and feel empowered to continue creating in the future. All materials provided.
