Gallery North is pleased to present Household Narratives, a multimedia exhibition which explores today’s world through the personal perspectives of emerging artists. This exhibition will feature short films and a series of installations of two and three-dimensional works which attempt to explore the serious and changing issues experienced by young people starting their lives in the adult world. Each artist has created an intensely personal vignette which invites the viewer to experience the intellectual consciousness being shared. Intimacy, relationships, body image, sexuality, violence against women, insecurity, as well as the consideration of process in producing the individual work, are some of the many thoughts considered by these young artists. The viewer will become engaged, not only by ideas but by the various materials used in the presentation of this thought provoking work.
Participating artists: Jacqueline Bahnsen, Talia Brown, Emily Brownawell, FUTUREANGEL, Adam Inzalaco, Kevin Liebowitz, Keara Martin, Allison Panzironi, Max Reff, Frank Spigner, Shi Tingo, Mihnea Udrea, and Rola Zyada.
